My sons participated in neurofeedback training with Diane for more than 7 months, from 2016-2017, twice a week and the experience was definitely very positive! Diane herself is an amazing person- so very genuine, down-to-earth, flexible, caring, honest, generous and smart. Because of her nature, I always have felt very safe, trusting and open in talking with her and I truly enjoy her company. My sons felt entirely comfortable and safe with her, and they enjoyed talking with her very much. My sons were both treated for focus difficulties and anxiety, but they are different people, with different biological make-ups and while both benefited from her counseling, one son seemed to benefit much more than the other from the neurofeedback training itself. During the course of his treatment, he became much more focused, outgoing and confident. In fact, his confidence really turned around for the better about 180 degrees. He was also able to work on his homework for much longer periods without "crashing". He even became much better over the period of the treatment at organizing his belongings and getting ready on time.
I think these changes in him have been a direct result of the neurofeedback, for he never experienced them before with anyone else's help and I am extremely grateful to Diane for her work, which has really changes his life for the better. My other son did benefit from neurofeedback, but not as great a degree probably because of other types of overlapping psychological difficulties that may have hampered progress and that could not be as easily resolved by neurofeedback. Still, I did notice that his tendencies to "tune out: while working definitely decreased. The counseling and the friendship itself were also very helpful and important and it is possible that more neurofeedback would help him. My sons have seen other psychologists and counselors but going to neurofeedback training with Diane felt much different: If felt like going to do something fun and useful with someone very nice- not something awkward or negative or of questionable value, not something where you might feel like you're being scolded or wasting your time.
